Hi! I am a postgraduate student from Moscow. I have been teaching Russian for more than 5 years now. This passion I have inherited from my mum, who is also a Russian teacher. My way of teaching is primary focused on self-expression, as the main purpose of every language is to express your ideas on any matter. We will talk a lot, and pay a lot of attention to how you pronounce the sounds. Russian grammar is quite tricky, so get ready for writing assignments too. Learning a foreign language doesn't have to Removed boring and I will do my best to bring as much variety as possible to our exercises. However, be prepared to learn a lot of words by heart, as we will really need to extent your vocabulary. If you are just a beginner, no worries, the basic course will help you to start things off.
4 years: elementary and secondary school, university students, adults
The key to success is to make you speak. Once you learn how to correctly express your views at least in short sentences, you will be invincible. We will focus on your pronunciation and your vocabulary. There are so many words that mean completely different things once you change the stress or mispronounce one of the syllables: 'za-mok - castle; za'mok- lock etc. We will read and discuss articles, learn some dialogs, so you know how to react in day-to-day life. Russian is a beautiful language, and though it's a bit tricky, it isn't as hard, as people think it is.
