I am a native French speaker and I have very recently retired from teaching. I am passionate about languages and sharing my language skills. I keep up to date with the evolution of the French language and abreast of French culture by being frequently in touch with family and friends abroad and by listening daily to French radio. I can teach children, students in examination classes and offer conversation lessons to all age groups.
I have taught French in England for over 30 years in both comprehensive and private secondary schools and my students have obtained excellent results. I have also taught evening classes and given private tuition to children, teenagers and adults. I have always been appreciated by both parents and students for my energy, commitment and conscientiousness.
I believe that confidence is fundamental to success and my friendly, positive and dynamic approach plus a sense of humour always puts my students at ease. Thanks to my experience, I am able to rapidly assess my students' level and I am capable of adapting my tutoring to their needs, I have access to current school resources and a bank of material I have created over the years.
I am thorough and clear when explaining grammar and I make sure that my students succeed in practising the same grammatical structure in different contexts. This means that they can manipulate the language effectively.
During conversation lessons, I use a wide range of stimuli to encourage my students to talk and I take notes in order to give them feedback and provide them with material to keep, revisit and to improve their skills.
